Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) strengthens account protection beyond standard username and password credentials. With MFA enabled, when you sign in to your UQPAY account, you will be prompted for your username and password (the first factor — what you know), as well as for an authentication response from your virtual MFA device (the second factor — what you have).

How it works

The system operates on a two-factor model:
  1. First factor — Something you know (username and password).
  2. Second factor — Something you have (authentication response from a virtual MFA device).
By combining these two verification methods, your account gains substantially increased security.
