Why I Received Instant Rewards at 11:35pm but Failed This Afternoon at 2:45pm
Understanding UPI’s daily settlement cutoff at 11pm and how it affects instant reward eligibility across days.
UPI’s daily transaction and settlement cut off at 11:00pm. All transactions and instant rewards redemptions that take place from 11:00pm onwards to the following day at 10:59pm are considered to occur on the same day.
This means the payment system operates on a daily cycle ending at 11:00pm. Transactions made after that cutoff time are grouped with the next day’s activities. This explains why a late-night payment may qualify for rewards while an afternoon attempt the following calendar day may not — they fall within different settlement periods due to the system’s processing schedule.
